Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Our new favorite pizza buffet! We were sad to see Tazino's closing but I think we've found an even better replacement. Obviously they don't offer as much variety, but there were 3-4 different pizzas from which to choose and they were all good. The pasta was good, the cream of potato soup was good, and the bread was excellent. The cheesy garlic bread? I go into raptures over it. Butter-soaked garlicky goodness....I could easily skip all other offerings and just have that for lunch. I was surprised not to find desserts on the menu, but fear not, they have a selection of large, soft cookies so you won't have to go without. Service has been fine, no complaints there. The atmosphere/decor isn't what you'd find in a "better" restaurant but it's actually quite cozy and warm inside with its soft lighting.

So glad to come back here. Haven't been here since I brought my kids. They went crazy over the pie!!! It is good though. We went across the street to the Mexican joint read the reviews and said no way and came to a place that is familiar to us!!! Pepino' satay true to your roots and we'll keep coming back.

4th generation family restaurant, it explains what looks a little old. Good pizza flavor, a little pricey compare against fast pizza restaurants, too dark for me. I would come back. Also they gave me a discount coupon for my next pizza .

We do carry-out here for pizza and I love their pizza. We haven't eaten in the dinning room for a few years but their other food was good as well. There are a half dozen pizza restaurants in the Falls but Pepino's is the best for me.

I went there for my 25th birthday because the have karaoke night, (I had around 18 people with me), but the dj barely ever called our table...by the time he started calling my friends, half of them were already gone. The drink specials were pretty good, but the food is not anything extraordinary. Not impressed!

Pepino's pizza is good, but not great and a bit on the expensive side. I haven't experience their other food or dining room to comment.

Close but just a few ounces short! My wife wanted to take a ride over Memorial Day weekend, so we headed north and came back through Menomonee Falls. There on Appleton Avenue was Pepino's. While I had been here last December with my friend John, the Certified Italian Chief, she had not eaten here in several years, so Pepino's it was. From the moment we opened the front door just a few minutes past five, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and given a choice of booths. Then she described several of the day's specials and told us our server Debbie would be taking care of us. My wife, a somewhat Italian food specialist but no where near John's capabilities, selected the Egg Plant Parmesan ($11.25) and I once again the Hamburger ($7.95), as I continued my search for Milwaukee's best burger. My wife's meal came with choice of a cup of chicken soup or a side salad. She went with the salad which turned out to be almost a meal in itself. Debbie even brought a full basket of Italian bread that was absolutely delicious. When she brought my wife's entree, there was enough food for almost three. It was definitely worth a picture, but sorry, no camera. Two large servings of egg plant with a "ton" of spaghetti. As for the all important taste test, it was just average but there was plenty to take home and that bread too! My hamburger also looked excellent, with the plate loaded with perfectly finished fries that were not only golden brown, but snapped! The perfect medium-well burger was topped with a mass of grilled onions but something was different this time.....the bun was buttered top and bottom. Yelp! Was it good. I savored each bite, this could have been the "best" burger I as looking for. God, even my stomach was getting angry with me when I told my wife, "1/3 pound just doesn't win it!" It wouldn't be fair to all the 1/2 pound others........but I will 'sneak' here now and then to remember how great it almost was. Just hope the same cook is in the kitchen and Debbie our excellent server!

I've driven past this restaurant a million times and always thought it looked gross so I never went. The only reason I did step foot inside was because I was brought with a group from work and had no idea where I was going. That being said - this may be my new favorite lunch place. They have a pretty darn good pizza buffet for lunch. Salad, about 6 pizza options, cheesy garlic bread, some sort of protein (fish, chicken strips, etc), and cookies. All of that for $10 - soda is another dollar. The servers have been there for years and are on their game. Our server split a check for our table of 10 without blinking an eye.

As an addendum to my previous review, I do have to take it down a peg (2.5 stars) after our last visit. It wasn't the food or the service or the quality of the beverages - it was the ladies restroom. Before I go any further, I should say I really enjoyed my meal at Pepino's the other night. Our pizza was good. Our server, probably the youngest gal in the place, was super friendly, and provided excellent service. The bar area feels like a really cozy supper club, circa 1970's, with wood paneling, and lots of Super Bowl XXXI memorabilia. (I don't know why but it just feels cozy - it sure was warm, that's for certain). Some people might not enjoy that aspect, but it provides plenty to look and gawk at. Seriously though - it looks like late 1970's - early 1980's Country Craft threw up all over the ladies bathroom, and it probably hasn't seen a mop since. Take a good hard look at that bench in the light - and tell me that hasn't been cleaned in a while. I try not to be such a stickler on certain things (such as the condition of restrooms) but hey - it does reflect on the restaurant, especially if the workers have to use the same restroom! I do agree with Rachel's assessment that Pepino's is the 'land that time forgot,' but some things definitely need to be upgraded.

Another review featuring my old stomping grounds. Oh Menomonee Falls. Sigh. Little did I think that I would ever -- ever! -- find myself in Menomonee Falls on a Saturday night, but last night? Believe, folks. 7:30 on a Saturday night, and I'm drinking house Chianti and eating pizza at Pepino's on Appleton. To be fair and in the interest of full disclosure, I didn't choose the venue. (Surprised?) I was there for a birthday party, and because folks were in attendance from as far away as Madison, Pepino's was the chosen location, as it was a sort of mid-ish point for everyone. I remember eating Pepino's pizza as a child, and I remember liking it. But... that was years and years ago, and what kid doesn't like any pizza that's put in front of their face? (Am I right?) So, last night. House wine, domestic beers, fake fireplace, okay-ish pizza, checkered tablecloths, lattice and fake flowers and the mean age of the patrons? I'm guessing 54. Our server wasn't terribly on point, but given the fact that she had seemingly been working there for a number of years, my guess is that she simply couldn't quite keep up. I won't scrutinize the service here, as the servers seemed to either be aged 16 or 66. Stuck in time, charming, nothing flashy, but the normal Italian-ish offerings. Pasta, pizza, deep fried apps, and yes... garlic bread. (I thought the cheese-less version better than the cheesy one.) Three stars for a non-chain Italian option in the Falls that surely is another in the "land that time forgot" series.

Pizzas great. Fish fries ok. A little pricey. Drinks are good. The service is CRUMMY. They act like they're doing you a favor to wait on you . Tonight pretty much par for the course. The forgot the 2nd order if bread we ordered and gave us French fries instead of a baked potato. Oh well it's not fine dining.

We had never been to Pepino's and we decided to give the Appleton Avenue restaurant a try this past Sunday evening. We had made reservations not knowing if a Sunday evening would find lots of people over the July 4th weekend. Upon entering the restaurant, we were promptly met by the hostess and seated. Our waitress "Victoria" was very pleasant, friendly and when I joked with her, she politely laughed along with my dry sense of so called humor. Our group consisted of 8 adults. We had a mixture of non alcohol and alcohol drinks. I wanted to try a Margarita as that was pictured on Yelp, and it looked interesting. I must say that it was everything I expected, but one was more than enough for me. The Margarita was priced at $5.50 each. Other drinks were soda and mixed drinks $3.00 for mixed drinks. Victoria was always at our table making sure everybody had what they needed. Pepino's has a daily special, Sunday was buy one pasta get the second free ($9.95 value) each dinner. My daughter and her boyfriend each had ravioli and they were very satisfied with their meal. I ordered a large 16" meat lovers regular crust pizza. You can order extra thick crust, regular or an extra thin crust. Their standard crust is excellent, baked with a bit of burn which I love. I really will try the extra thin crust next time as I like a pizza with less dough and more goodies to taste. The meat lovers pizza was around $21.00 and was covered heavily with 4 types of meat, (Canadian bacon, sausage, pepperoni and ham). The amount of cheese was a bit thin but an excellent pizza sauce. A bit more cheese would have made this a 5 star night. We also had a single order of garlic bread which all 8 of us got a piece of, with a couple of extras. It was buttery, loaded with garlic...mmmm. As with other postings, you have to try it. It is fantastic. The night we were at Pepino's, the serving area was about half full. We could have a really decent conversation at our table and hear what everybody was saying without much issue. I really appreciated that. The restaurant is very clean, bathrooms are clean too. We will be coming back to Pepino's in the future. I did not focus on their menu too much as I had pizza on my mind, but they do have a wonderful selection of other Italian dishes that will need to be explored. Keep up the good work.

The garlic bread it to die for! A coworker and I were in the area for a week and wanted good pizza. We found this place online and decided to try it. We got a special, which was a small (12 inch) pizza and garlic bread, and we couldn't finish either. It was so good that we wanted to keep eating but were too full! For the pizza, bread, sodas and a tip it was about $20 total. The place wasn't busy on a week night and plenty of seating available. Quick service, and friendly people. I will definitely recommend this place to any of my coworkers traveling back to the area.

I tried their lunch buffet last week. The only decent things on it were the garlic bread and the tomato ravioli soup. The pizza was gross, which suprised me because I've liked it in the past. The pizza had way too much cheese on it and the crust was super soggy. I tried some noodle thing with oil on it. The noodles were barely edible because they were hard. They also need to be more careful with their serving utensils. I picked up the spoon for the noodle dish and nearly burnt my hand on it. For over $8 I can find a better lunch buffet with more options and better cooked food.
